Alex Hui

Alex is currently pursuing his MSc in Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich. Originally from Hong Kong, he completed his BSc in Earth System Science with First Class Honours from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). During his undergraduate studies, he also spent one year working as a placement student at the Hong Kong Observatory, the city's weather services.

Alex has been a meteorology lover since childhood and is particularly interested in research of impact-based forecasts for severe weather. For his Master's thesis in collaboration with MeteoSwiss, he will be working on Impact-based Precipitation Warnings for First Responders in Zurich.

In his free time, Alex enjoys exploring the cities and countryside, if the weather allows.
